Surely a teletype would have a current loop interface,
not RS232. The
Correct TTY is not DTE as it's not rs232.
But this doesn't explain why the RS232 data lines
are connected as a
DTE.
Computer used as terminal would be DTE. Also likely is the designer
was not familiar with standards and went with the only RS232 they
knew which was likely a terminal.
I believe there should be two serial (one each) or a switchable
option for DCE/DTE.
