It's hard for me to think of as "secret" or "proprietary" an adjustment that was made by a trimpot on a analog TV/CRT and probably even brought out to the front panel (maybe hidden by a little door). So maybe there is some generational difference. Someday a young automotive engineer will, I don't doubt, reinvent the manual choke on the dash and think it's something new :-) Tim.
