If it displays "CPU READY" after power-up, it's the right one.
In addition to the image, it would be useful to know what the markings
on the chip are, or to have a photo in which they can be seen.
If you have the optional serial port on the board, you could dump the
ROM over the serial port without removing it from the board.

Another fun thing you can add to this kit (if you can find it) is the Erying Research
color graphics board. its the same graphics chip in the 99/4
The TI manual set was great, huge binder and it was a very good course on microprocessors,
I really enjoyed mine!
