Boy ... I've never seen that one, though there's one that's pretty similar
that comes up from time to time.
Nevertheless, I get lots of "finding" done with that utility. I don't have
'XP, BTW, and may never go that route. I'd dearly love to find a useable
alternative.

itself. cf Windows' infamous message to the effect that that "one of the
files that find.exe requires is missing". This is a well-known problem
with Windows XP, at least, and there's a specific article about it on
Microsoft's website.
