Yup. The world is full of stupid people.
I really don't have much of a problem with that. They annoy me, but I
can deal with them.
What I have a problem with is people who are BLISSFULLY stupid, and
think that anyone with more knowledge than they have is crazy or wrong,
like the "looking at you like you have two heads" issue you mentioned.
