CD-R ATIP data veracity (was Re: SCSI CD drive capable of reading CD-R)

I suppose that might not stop manufacturers in mainland China, though. Anyhow, if the ATIP says that it's CMC Magnetics, it's safe to assume that the disc is junk. If anyone bought used stampers from them, the resulting media couldn't be any better than the CMC Magnetics junk. Eric
