Good luck at the border crossing. You are likely
to get bounced coming
back into the US with old computer stuff.
I, and others, have found out that the US Border guys want to see FULL
customs paperwork for any computer stuff bigger than your normal
PeeCee/Mac/desktop/laptop.
The last two times I crossed the border at Blaine, WA
with a car load
of VAX 4000 systems and a van load of Sun 4/280 systems the US guys
were barely interested. I got more hassle on the way north from the
Canadian guys about why I was driving there to meet total strangers I
met on the net to pick up old computer junk. That was 3 or so years
ago. Maybe it's worse now.
I always made sure that the Made in USA was clearly visible, it trumped
anything they wanted to hassle about.
There was one time that I had bare boards which had made in Phillipines
IC's large enough to be visible, but we had a Made in USA with and
address in the silkscreen that stopped the discussion on that trip.
