I plan to do a backup every week, and at
some point I will revisit my automated backup software that I've been
writing. Unless someone has a suggestion for something that's very
easy to use and either dumps backup data to a server or a ZIP disk or
something removeable.
I've been working on an offline storage system using my
webrouter (an old
Linux box with a 400MHz K6-II CPU). It's currently pre-pre-alpha and has
been assigned the codename "Phoenix-II". The name is mythology - the phoenix
was a bird that rose from the ashes of its predecessor. Simple, no? Catch
is, the bloody thing keeps falling over and I need to write a server daemon
for Linux...
Later.
