You know something's wrong when it's cheaper to get a plane ticket from
Leeds to London than to do the same trip by cattle-class train...
Travel prices can be bizarre.
When my ex priced Oakland to Milwaukee (20 years ago), she could get two
one way tickets for the same price as three round trip!
It was also cheaper to fly to NYC with a stop in Chicago, than it was to
fly to Chicago on the same flight.
. . . and some airlines actually try to keep track, and void tickets if
you try to use the second leg of a ticket without the first one!
How long before the airlines ask for another bailout?
