I have a boot problem with a modern HP 3000 of a
friend of mine, a HP3000
937 LX

On the backplane board of the 3000, there is a DS1287, battery backed real
time clock. It has datecode 9125, maybe battery dead. Does anyone know if
this chip on the 3000 is used only for the clock or it store any system
parameter ?
