Why do you need an MMU?
Most operating systems require one ? I rather suspect Linux is one of those.
I keep looking on and off for a good implementation of a Forth processor. Found
something once that claimed to be such a thing, but it was obvious the author didn?t
realize VHDL is different from C.
Someone did a pretty good forth implementation in about 200 lines of verilog. Adding in
all of the other basic words on top of what the hardware took ran about 8k as I recall.
