There is an
organization called the DMA here in the US where you can
submit your snailmail address and this will clear you from the 50%++
of law abiding snailSpammers and i suspect they do eSpam too.

Yeah, great. You have to pay $5 to register one address online.
Otherwise you can mail it in, however "registering by mail may delay
inclusion in the 'delete file' up to 30 days".
