If you
don't have a color frame buffer (GPX or SPX)
How would I tell?
There may
be some boot PROM commands to get that information, maybe
"show conf".
Tricky, when I have no display yet... :?)
At least
you can see it by physical inspection: The mono frame buffer is on the
main PCB. GPX or SPX are mezzanine plug in cards sitting on top of the
main PCB, maybe 20x25 cm^2 in size. Don't confuse it with RAM options.
These are mezzanine plug in cards too, but they are only about 10x20
cm^2 and they are aligned to the front of the machine. The framebuffer
is aligned in the middle / a bit to the back.
Taking it apart, I can do, and indeed am rather looking forward to,
when I get it home! I don't know how much RAM it's got yet, either.
I have had the lid off. Poking up above the tray that the internal
disks sit on, there is what I think is a SCSI controller. That's all I
could see.
