Actually, this list is aware of some of the obscure stuff. I was
referring to the ones who argue whether Apple or IBM invented
microcomputers.
In 2005 Toshiba announced the 20th anniversary of when
they invented the
laptop. When pressed, they claimed theirs was the "first" with a 286
(who knows), and that clearly a laptop is only a laptop if it's got a
286 or newer.
YOU might need to speak up (7 years ago)! if it's the one that I think
that they're talking about, it was a clamshell, but only ran off of mains
power!
