Reading a VMS CD-ROM for SIMH under Windows?

I'd like to know too. I ended up buying an RRD-40 cdrom drive as none of my other 512byte-selectable scsi cdrom drives would boot the hobby cd. I tried just to back the cd up onto cdr and got a trash cd. We have tried three different CD-ROM slurping programs from shareware.com and download.com, but no success. They seem to have heartburn because the disc is not mounted under Windows.
