However, no matter what I try I can't get them
(RX33's) to work when the ESDI
controller is in place. On that note I'm giving up on this line of attack
at least for the time being.
It sounds to me like you've got a backplane DMA continuity grant problem.
What cards are in the backplane? What slots are they in?
