running VAX/VMS 5.4, it has 16Mb of RAM, (2) 212Mb hard drives, and an
RX23 disk drive. Does anyone have any references or links that would
be helpful in setting this thing up? Any information would be greatly
appreciated.
5.4 is pretty old. The current version is 7.x.
The VS3100's will also run Ultrix (DEC's awful Unix port) and NetBSD (A
much better choice, IMO).
Info on the hardware can be found at:

Info on NetBSD can be had from
www.netbsd.org
Best of luck. Those are nice little machines.
