These were great machines in their time, and can still be quite useful when appropriately upgraded. Should you have one of these old classics laying around gathering dust, I thought I'd mention that I have a few remaining 80386DX-16 motherboards that are "drop-in" replacements for the original 8088 motherboard. With a Cyrix 486DRX2 chip, it will run like a 80486DX2-32 machine. I can supply instructions on swapping the original monitor for a monochrome VGA monitor that bolts in with only minor modifications, along with numerous other modifications. I'm running Win 3.1 on one of these machines to this day (including sound). Please contact me should you have any interest in upgrading such a machine, and/or forward this eMail on to anyone you know who is still interested.
