PowerPC didn't really lose though, did it? I mean,
it did in the desktop
sector, but it's still quite ubiquitous in embedded-land.
This is true. I was more referring to the Mac wars.
And, of course, the last remnant Amigas are PPC (fwiw) and POWER chips own
the game console market. But I'm still sore about Apple ditching it (and
buying and then killing PA Semi just to twist the knife and beef up their
ARM offerings -- otherwise we might all be using PWRficient PowerBook G5s).

Coincidentally, so am I :) (but mine is in CodeWarrior 7 on Mac OS 9).
