$1,250 is what I would call about mean value for an Altair 8800. If that
gave you a rush then more power to you.
I've sold an Apple II+ to Richard Garriot and
bought a
Heathkit H-11 from Jon Titus, don't sell it short. eBay works great if you
don't bid against idiots and always keep a lookout for the bargains.
I can agree with that.
