Franklin 1000 (Apple Clone) keyboard problems

I have a Franklin 1000 that I bought second-hand about eight years ago. So far it's worked flawlessly. I was playing around with it about a week or two ago, when I noticed that the Return key stopped working, and the space bar requires a lot of pressure to operate. I could probably get a better look at the keyboard, if I can figure out how to remove it from the case.
