Anecdotal evidence aside, all indications are that it is selling
quite well. While there are few models of Android phone available
today, there
will be many more from many vendors before the end of this year.

Which bugs? I've been using one since the day before the public
release of the G1, and I haven't noticed any particularly horrible
bugs. I got a Google Ion running 1.5 ("Cupcake") recently, and 1.5
seems even better. T-Mobile did finally push Cupcake for the G1
recently.
