Let's also give credit where
credit is due - there are huge numbers of
*nix guys that are as bad as the Windows guys. The penguin crowd are
the worst offenders.
As a longtime member of said penguin crowd, I unfortunately have to
agree. The general trend there seems to be a focus on flashy stuff
(Look! It's shiny! And colorful!). People who actually understand (and
care about) what happens below the surface seem to be as rare as ever.

And I still don't understand why Canonical decided to disabled
[CTRL][ALT][BackSpace] in their latest release of Ubuntu Linux.
At least I can re-enable it... Basards.
