Sniping Does Not Require Justification!

I have never seen a reason to snipe on ebay since I don't bid on high priced rarities ever. Sniping at the end will only save you from incremental bidders who end up bidding more then they normally would because they didn't like being outbid (same people who end up not paying at the end anyway when they come to their senses). Bidding early on commodity or super niche stuff is not a problem because their will either be another auction around the corner for the commodity, or nobody else will want it anyway for the niche. Sometimes just having a bid keeps other people from bidding. You do have to worry about shill bidders from the seller trying to feel out your max bid. Snipers have to deal with sellers who cancel an auction early because the item is going too cheap and there is no reserve, so they don't get a bid in anyway.
