It was thus said that the Great Jules Richardson once stated:
Makes me wonder how well SCSI would have fared had it been hot-pluggable
from the start, as that seems to be the main benefit of USB (even if the
Microsoft guys can't seem to get the software side of it right!)
Would have been nice, and would have saved me 16 hours of recovery time
and my boss endless ribbing for attempting to add a SCSI drive to the AIX
system (the core of the ISP I was working for at the time) without shutting
it down first.
