I ran it on my CoCos. In generla, the OS-9 languages were very nice for
an 8-bit machine.
FWIW, I will happily agree that BCC BASIC is a very nice langauge too,
and certainly one of the better BASICS. But if you claim it's 'the best'
you have to expect somebvody to challenge you ;-)

I've been Googling and reading up on BASIC09. It certainly does sound
impressive, although a bit more primitive than BBC BASIC.
Did it have any graphics or sound facilities?
