Only if you insist on still using signed 32-bit values for time.
I fully expect that by 2038 int, never mind long, will be at least 64
bits wide, which will push the "go pop" date well past the expected
lifetime of our solar system.
[...] - I was actually quite surprised there was no
standard util to
take a stream of hex characters, stripping out any junk, and writing
out the resulting binary (sort of a reverse hexdump).
