Sounds like the cards were approximately contemporary.
Probably true. I remember in the late 70's timeframe that the
bit-banger one was often sold by shops along with serial printers,
and a fair number of those were sold.
What card did Apple use to drive the Silentype? Was it the bit-bang
serial card we're talking about, or something special? I remember
friends who called it "the Silentype card".
