The powerbill is why I finally had to shutdown my VMS servers. :-(

Yep they are great. And can run quite recent (current?)
NetBSD, and
even Linux, for example.
For Sparc's and UltraSparc's my personal preference is either Solaris
(ideally 2.6 or 8), or OpenBSD. A Sparc 20 with a quad ethernet
S-Bus Card, and an Extra SCSI adapter makes a really nice firewall,
web and FTP server.
