How many people here would buy an untested board for
more than scrap value?
In many cases I would.
It depnds, of course, on how much I need the board (if it's the one bit I
need to complete a machine) and wether or not I could repair it.
In other words, I am not going to pay anything, not even scrap value,m
foe some modern PCB that is of little use to me and which has a couple of
ASICS (or worse-still glob-topped ASICS) on it. But I did bid a few
hundred pounds (!) for an HP 'cable' which has a PCB at each end (a
totlay of about 50 ICs in the device) because it was the part I needed to
complete a fairly rare system and since the ICs were all stadard parts
(mostly TTL, but with a few RAMs) I know I could repair it if I had to.
