Hi there.
Can anybody tell me what the first external hard drive for a Macintosh was?
I am trying desperately to remember who made it and how much memory it had
and how much it cost. I remember that it was very big and very expensive.
Any insight would be tremendously appreciated...
When my mother started her typesetting business, she had a Corvus networked
hard disk on her Mac 512K. It wasn't AppleTalk, but some kind of proprietary
sharing system off of the modem port (the LaswerWriter I was on the printer
port). It was 20Mb, a pretty ordinary 5.25" mechanism, inside a box that
was nearly as large as a Mac lying down. ISTR the moniker Constellation
associated with the drive. I have it in a box in storage.
