Hmm... didn't know the SC01 was so limited (the Adaptec 1541A is also
limited, but not _that_ small - it's hundreds of MB)
I rememer the SC01 as one of the early SCSI cards supported under
Linux, back in the pre-1.0-kernel days (c. 1992, so on-topic)
