 If your TU56 -15V input is high you may run this bulb above its rated
 voltage shortening its life. 
 
Some sizes of those bare-lead grain-of-wheat bulbs are or were used for
front-panel backlighting in digital car stereos, generally 12V of course.
Places that repair car-stereos may be an adeqaute source, Radio Shack sold some
sizes as of a few years ago.
