Was it when it was released? Considering it's low price, I doubt it could
be called 'state of the art'. That's like calling the Walmart $200 PC
state of the art when it was introduced (IMHO)... not that I'm saying a

There's always time to bodge it again, there's never time to
do it right, or something like that.... One thing I've learnt time and
again in classing <anything> repair is that rushing in will often cause
more problems than it solves. I may spend _months_ just examining a
device before even thinking about repairing it.
