If it were me I'd go as far as pulling and reseatign the socketed chips...
i'd almost bet that something has oxidized and that's what's keeping you
from coming up. probably the 808x itself...

Challenge that assumption! Gently rock all of the cards
in their slots. Apply _LIGHT_ thumb pressure to all socketed
chips. Gently pull and reseat all cables.
Also, try bringing it up with the keyboard detached.
I've seen blown keyboards prevent original IBM-PCs
from booting.
