I looked for a translation of the text on the bottle swedish->english and "white
benzene" came up (amongst others), but perhaps i picked the wrong one.
Directly translated the text on the bottle says "Chemically purified benzine".

?white? benzene? That sounds like a term for gasoline
(?petrol?).
I was talking about benzene, C6H6.

I used white benzene to free an old commodore box

I use paint thinner (the cheap stuff that comes
in 1 gallon jugs)--it takes time, but doesn't bother plastic. Great for removing
labels from old floppies as well. It helps if glossy labels are scuffed up a bit with
sandpaper first to allow the stuff to penetrate.
