[1] I do not believe you can determine which of 2
amplifiers (say) will
necessarily sound better (to you) just based on the performance figures.
But I most certainly do believe that if there is an audible difference
then the measurements will be different as well.

I think there may be audible differences that the measurements aren't sensative
to. But then, it's hard to compare tube equipment to transistor or chip
equipment directly, as there are always other differences.
