If using the 201B for asynchronous communication, the 2400 bps includes
any start and stop bits. The 2400 bps is the maximum rate across the
telephone network.
If memory serves, the 201B uses two bits per baud, so over the telephone
network it does 2400 bps and 1200 baud.
