I have a vt420 to hook up, but
I do not have the cabling that I need.
I just bought a gender changer and a
null modem on eBay. When they get here
I will hook it up to see what the console
output says.

Dave, remember that many MMJ cables and wiring are already wired as
null-modem. See http://www.openvms.compaq.com/wizard/padapters.html for
details on many common adapters and cables related to DEC/Compaq/HP
