It didn't need to be much. I believe that Don Tarbell's disk
controller uses a 32-byte bipolar PROM to do get the first 128-byte
sector read from disk. That one-sector bootstrap loaded the BIOS,
then the BIOS loaded the DOS and CCP. My CCP loaded a driver for my
Diablo Hitype OEM model driven from a PT 3P+S board.
