Hello,
I might be a little late with the answer but that tape cartridge is used to program the
IBM Magnetic Tape Selectric Composer "MTSC" announced in 1967. This was a cold
type printing machine which was quite advanced for it's time. I worked for IBM and
serviced these machines.
Its nice to talk about the old days so let me know if there are any more questions, as
long as I can remember the right answers.
