most likely BIDDING ON STOLEN PROPERTY.
I am sure you already know this but, you face an uphill battle in San
Joaquin county. It's not anywhere I would want to go up against a
landlord or even go to court. Maybe contact the recycler and offer them
something for all your stuff back. If it was the bay area you might find
a friendly judge. No such thing in the central valley.
