Perhaps not close to 1000 years, but certainly across a lifetime spam--I
would think that these would be handy for preserving family photos,
particularly of important events such as weddings.
I was thinking, for some reason, of Stan Ovshinsky and his phase-change
storage in chalcogenide glasses. Is media using this more permanent
than the usual dye-based DVD-ROM or CD-ROM material? Anyone know?
