Seconded. I like a medium where the messages come to me, not where I
have to "get" the messages (in often a completely different
interface). % elm
Certainly there are packages that web-ify mailing lists. You'd think
there would be a plain-jane web forum package that let people
participate only in the web version if they wanted, and posts would
be gateway'd both ways in a transparent fashion.
This sounds like what Google Groups does...
