They're for the 3278 terminals that I've recently acquired.
No worries there - I just surprised at the demand for them. Unless
it's just you and one other bidder going back and forth on them :)
I've also recently acquired a 3174-64R controller
(so that I can talk
to the mainframe through ethernet). ;-)
Thanks, that's one clue toward the eventually full setup. From what
I've gathered, most of the terminal controllers have cards/modules
that will determine what "comes out the other end." There's no real
mainframe around here so the goal is talking to Hercules on a PC.
With that in mind, I'd guess Ethernet, Token Ring and maybe serial are
on the menu.
