I've got a couple of 68008 systems. One is on a STE-bus board, the other is
used as a co-processor in an Acorn BBC micro (running OS-9). I've never had
the time to see if the STE board "does anything" (if I remember right, it's
in poor shape, and might depend on other boards that I don't have, and the
on-board firmware is probably for some industrial application anyway). The
co-processor board for the BBC is very good, however - OS-9 runs very well
on it, and it makes me wonder why the 68008 wasn't in more widespread use.
