A friend was trying to figure out how to rework
the drive select lines
of the TRS-80 to try to access 7 or 14 drives. Fortunately, he
switched over to 5160 and hard disks before he invested too much time
into that project.
Depending on the vintage of the TRS-80, that's not as silly as it
sounds at first. Didn't most of the early 8" drives (e.g. SA-800)
have a configurable option for either radial or binary select?
