By the way, if you open up a VT61 you will find a truly mindboggling
number of PC boards. From old memory, I think it's at least 10 of
them, crammed into every avaiable corner of a standard VT52 enclosure.
One thing that's strange about them is some, maybe all, are
single-layer boards completely infested with jumper wires on the top
side. Why they didn't use double-sided boards I never understood.
(And they are phenolic -- Radio Shack type boards -- not FR4 epoxy.)
By the way, the email from Jerry Leichter is mistaken in that the TRAX
terminal was the VT62, not the VT61. I don't know what if anything
the plain VT61 was used for.
