While working for another company years ago, I offered our customers a free
two day seminar on the maintenance of our equipment; about 40% of the
registered people actually attended. The next time, I charged $250.00 (token
fee) and the only people who didn't show up were the two who had bought a
machine and wanted in on the prior free deal (which I okayed.) Ah yes.
