these look like the 29B vintage system I have for the parts it takes.
the programming satellite
is probably just a multiplexer to allow you to gang program parts in a
manufacturing setting.
never had that with a 29A or 29B, but the console looks the same as I
used when i was
doing a lot of eprom programming and patch work.
you only have the socket to program one part though. there must be more
to populate
out the programming satellite.
